Moa creates deep, dark, moody music with plenty of space to lose one's self. After the departure of a founding member, they changed their name from Sam the Lion to Moa. Its new incarnation maintains its simultaneously timeless and modern sound; conjuring Portishead, Mazzy Star, and the house band of the Black Lodge.
