June 23 • 08 - Citizen Cope Power Outage
If you haven't heard, at 10:30pm on Sunday night June 22, NoDa went dark. Citizen Cope had been performing since just after 9:15pm and I gotta say that the show was rockin when everything went dark. We waited nearly 45 minutes and still nothing, the power company told us that there was a fire at a substation and it would be hours before the power came back on. At 11:15pm, it was decided that for the safety of everyone, it was time to call it a night. The reality of the matter is that this is live music and you never know what is going to happen and in this particular situation, we feel that Citizen Cope performed more than half of his typical show (90 minutes) so no refunds will be given. Certainly a few folks will disagree with this, but please keep in mind that this was an act of god & we did everything we could to help resolve the situation, but unfortunately we were at the mercy of the power grid so we were forced to wait paitently. Possibly one day we will be a solar powered venue & when the grid goes dark, we will continue rockin...now that would be cool. The band did state backstage that the next time they returned here they were going to have to make up for this lost time...time will tell & hopefully they will be back before too long.

June 21 • 08 - Marc Broussard Cancelled
Unfortunately Marc had to cancel his June 21 show with us due to vocal damage. Marc is planning to come back this way in December so a rescheduled date is in the works. Goals are to have the rescheduled date announced within a few weeks, but it might take longer than that to nail it down so please be patient with us. Once we announce the rescheduled date, if you purchased a ticket to the June 21 show and are unable to come to the rescheduled show, we will gladly give you a refund for the face value of the tickets. If you are able to come, all June 21 tickets will be honored. We are all very saddened by this cancellation & wish Marc a speedy recovery!! If you have any further questions, please call 704-358-9298.
