Known as southern rock pioneers. their seven gold and three platinum albums have spawned classic hits like Heard It In a Love Song, Fire On The Mountain, Can't You See, and Take The Highway, and their definitive blend of rock, rhythm & blues, jazz, country, and gospel has earned them hit singles on both the Billboard Country and Gospel charts. They continue to be played on classic rock and country radio; and after 30 yrs of touring they can still rock your socks off!

The Marshall Tucker Band consists of Gray, Milner, Lawter, Swanlund, David Muse (formerly of Firefall, on sax, flute, and keys), and drummer B.B. Borden (formerly of Mother's Finest). The band took several stylistic detours with 1998's all-blues outing Face Down in the Blues and the 1999 spiritual album Gospel. A thorough reissue campaign was inaugurated in 2003, and the new studio record Beyond the Horizon appeared one year later. In 2006, the group released a live 1980 concert, Live on Long Island, and another new studio project, The Next Adventure, appeared in 2007.

Apparently aware that jamband cliches were already beaten to death 10 years ago, Umphrey's McGee takes the genre's tired conventions and turns them on their ear. The band starts with progressive and heavy rock influences such as King Crimson and Dixie Dregs and crosses over into a zone we haven't yet classified. Not unlike their contemporaries moe., Umphrey's isn't afraid to craft actual songs -- adventurous and innovative but also catchy, engaging, and sometimes even concise.

Giving homage in a continually evolving artistic outlet, the Dark Star Orchestra recreates historic Grateful Dead set lists with compelling accuracy. Each night, the Chicago-based band decides on performing one show from the over 2,500 that the Grateful Dead originally performed during their 30 year tenure as fathers of improvisational rock.

Dark Star Orchestra presents the complete original set list, song by song, and in order, with uncanny faithful interpretation. To date, DSO has covered more than 1,300 different Grateful Dead shows.

At the end of every performance, the band announces the date and venue where the original show just covered took place. Dark Star Orchestra dips into every incarnation of the Dead, so most fans can "see" shows that happened long before they were born.

With three guitars that can take lead and three lead vocalists, this band can maintain a higher energy level than most mortals. They rock with an intensity and consistency rarely seen and can manage to stay melodic while blowing the roof off.

Rolling Stone called the Drive-By Truckers the boldest n baddest Southern band in the land. On their nine highly acclaimed albums the Truckers survey the modern South with a complex blend of realism-tempered pride and compassionate but uncompromising analysis. They recently released their entire Austin City Limits performance as a CD/DVD and The Fine Print (A Collection Of Oddities and Rarities).

When it comes to a party/concert with Robert Earl Keen, we just can't get enough...we know you love him, too. Among the large contingent of talented songwriters who emerged in Texas in the 1980s and 1990s, Robert Earl Keen struck an unusual balance between sensitive story-portraits ("Corpus Christi Bay") and raucous barroom fun ("That Buckin' Song"). These two song types in Keen's output were unified by a mordant sense of humor that strongly influenced the early practitioners of what would become known as alternative country music. Keen, the son of an oil executive father and an attorney mother, is a native of Houston. His parents enjoyed both folk and country music, and his own style would land between those genres. Keen wrote poetry while he was in high school, but it wasn't until he went to journalism school at musically fertile Texas A&M that he learned to play the guitar. He and Lyle Lovett became friends and co-wrote a song, "This Old Porch," which both later recorded.

Ani DiFranco has written hundreds of songs, played thousands of shows, captured the imaginations of legions of followers, and jammed with folkies, orchestras, rappers, rock and roll hall-of-famers, jazz musicians, poets, pop superstars, storytellers and a martial arts legend. Shes fixed up a few old buildings and minimized her carbon footprint before it was trendy from installing a geothermal heating and cooling system in the renovated church that her label calls home to using organic inks on all the t-shirts she sells. But nothing shes done in her 18-year career has garnered more attention than a business decision. Since Ani bucked the major label system in the early-90s, opting to release her music on her own terms, the self-described Little Folksinger has been the subject of all kinds of hyperbole. Shes been called fiercely independent (Rolling Stone), inspirational (All Music Guide), the ultimate do-it-yourself songwriter (The New York Times), etc. As the cracks in the music industry get larger and more big-name artists follow Anis lead Radiohead, Madonna and Nine Inch Nails among them maybe people will just start calling her smart.

The Black Lips are a self-described "flower punk" band from Atlanta, GA. They are what you could call true visionaries of a skeptical age. Even from their very first 7" EP, you could tell they were doing their own thing on their own terms, and of course it didn't sit well, even with the dawning of the 21st century and all it promised. The fun these guys have is hard to hide either live or on record. Seriously slurred swashbucklers living out the ultimate teenage dream, yet breaking through another layer of remarkable idiocy, transcribed through hallucinations and exasperation.
